Wild books for Wild Things.

I helped a lady find some books for a "Wild Things" end of year celebration. She wanted some for older kids, but all in a short story picture book format. That's an interesting order, so if you are ever asked for that, here are some books that I chose:

Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg
in which a game comes to life and turns wild.

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sandak
in which a young boy becomes the ruler of a small island.

17 Things I'm not Allowed to do Anymore by Jenny Offill
in which we learn the danger of speaking of beavers too kindly.

and my personal favorite

Punk Farm by Jarrett J. Krosoczka
in which a big, a cow, a goat, a sheet, and a chicken stick it to the man.

I love this book so very much I have found a little website for you, and a short exploration brought me to this nice article. Stream it. You might like it.
