Didn't want to miss this one!!!

So here it is! Happy Happy Birthday (tomorrow) Lorraine.

Let me tell you something about Lorraine that I had just briefly mentioned to a friend today at my Book Babies storytime (which is a blast by the way - Tuedays at 10:00am at the Idaho Falls Public Library.) We were talking about why I went to Germany on a two week vacation. (Eventaully there will be pictures at my other blog.) We basically chose Germany because my husband wanted to revisit and show me his mission. That conversation led to a conversatio about why I didn't go on a mission. After some discussion I came up with the fact that 1) The Lord had other plans for me, and 2) I couldn't think of any better reason to stop those plans and go besides the fact that I have always wanted to be so much like my big sister who went on a mission.

I'm good now! I've finally found my own identity, but I still love and look up to all of my sisters so much.

So happy birthday Lorraine. This year, I'm sending you a book.

So Thankful!

On Monday, I became a cousin all over again! I love it. Ivy Lena Perry was born to my cousins Nat and Steve. See? See?

I don't know how I became so blessed, but I made it to the instant text list! How fun is that.

On Tuesday, my visiting teachers came over to share messages of hope and positive attitudes. Which I needed! and then Matt and I watched a movie and ate fried chicken. (Yum, Yum, my favorite.)

Today, Matt and I are driving down to Utah to spend Thanksgiving family style! I'm oh so very excited. On the way down we're going to work on our music collections. =) We have some good ones.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am sooo very grateful for you. Whether you are family or friends, coworkers, or past roommates, you have added something to my life that I'd rather not try to do without. Thanks for your love and everything you've taught me though your examples and faith. Have a Happy Thankful Thursday!

And did I mention: Matthew Calvin Jackson!

Less Than A Month

I realized this week that in less than a month I'll be a married woman. That's a weird thought until I think about who I'm marrying, then I get super excited! The announcements are getting closer to getting into the mail (FYI), so keep an eye on your boxes. And here's a sneak peak at things yet to come later on.

This is actually the only pic I had on file right now, but it's a cute one and I wanted you guys to see the happiness!

And in other news: I have two birthdays shout outs.

Dear Jack (Nov 13) and Ellen (Nov 14),

I love you both and wish you a happy (combined) 30th birthday! I don't really like cake, so I hope this giant ice cream will tempt you sufficiently.

Love,

Aunt and just plain Sarah

Speaking of Birthdays . . .

The best, cutest Happy Birthday ever is right here! A special clip of my niece, Ellen singing happy birthday to herself! I can't get over it. When if first came out I watched it over and over and then invited everyone who I could lore close enough to the computer to watch it with me. I just watched it 4 times in a row before I started writing this post because there is nothing sweeter than a birthday wish for yourself. Good job Ellen, you've got it right!

Finished and Favorites

I finally finished reading ALL the Newbery Award winners. And not being someone who can do two things an once, I didn't make time to...
