I just want to tell you all that I've been practicing my guitar. I'm basically pro! I know there are some people (like loan officers and pre-dent students and pharmacists and male kindergarten teachers) who don't think librarians can ROCK, but let me tell you. I ROCK! I ROCK in all of the following chords . . .
Just kidding. I'm not going to list the chords I ROCK in, but I will tell you that I just got brave enough to tune (or untune) by guitar to Open D, and I totally ROCK in Open D. Everyone go get out your last Goo Goo Dolls CD and listen to Black Balloon and realize that I sound like that!
Let's ROCK! Let's ROCK Today!

You rock!!
Oh man, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Drop D. And so does Peter Breinholt. I usually rock like he does. Looks like we need to rock together sometime.
I have no idea what Drop D is, but it sounds AWESOME! I want to rock, too. But I will have to introduce my children to the word "guitarra" probably, to do that.
Lorraine: Here's a link to a Wikipedia article on Drop D tuning: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drop_D_tuning
Remember, it's Wikipedia, so I don't know if you can trust it or not.
And after finding that article, I realized that I do not, in fact, rock in Drop D. Nor does Peter Breinholt. We rock in Open D: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_D_tuning
thanks for the link William
We can still ROCK together, I've discovered!
So, when is your next concert? :)
One: I love this post, and you.
Two: I'm totally (pretending to be) offended on behalf of Wikipedia for William's comment. "..I don't know if you can trust it or not..." whatever! Doesn't he know that Wiki is as accurate as the Encyclopedia Brittanica? And has WAY more articles? I'd like to see him try to find out how to tune Peter Breinholt's guitar to Drop D in the Encyclopedia Brittanica.
Rant over.
I love you!!
after I posted my comment, I immediately looked up drop D on Wikipedia. Mary, I really think you should re-post your sonnet to Wikipedia. As you will recall, that was where we found the definitive answer to the sad news of President Hinckley.
I would like to say that I believe in Wikipedia. And that William was absolutely right. I was in Open D, not Drop D. Sometimes I just make stuff up. =) sorry, I"m not as reliable as Wikipedia.
